My Management Journey
As I look back on my time as an Engineering Manager, I've realized that there are some hard-won lessons that I wish someone had shared with me earlier.
Over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing some of those takeaways - the good, the bad, and the ugly. From the importance of empathy and transparency to the not-so-obvious challenges of optimizing performance and streamlining the SDLC, I'm hoping to save you some time (and hair) by sharing what's worked for me.
I've been fortunate to have had some amazing mentors along the way - Ricardo Alves, Luis Santos Teixeira, Craig Blaszczyk, Alexander Grosse, and Martin Malek, who's still trying to live down the fact that he pushed me out of my comfort zone. Stay tuned!
